What if you woke up and decided that this was the year you would make an intentional effort to do your very best? So every day was awesome. Not just for your family or your employer – but everything. That’s right, everything. I don’t mean to sound obsessive or take on additional stress – so hear me out.
We always want to BE our best but we might think we don’t have the time or energy to put in the hard work to actually DO it. It reminds me of Nike’s famous motto – Just Do It. Intentionally, purposefully.
The main caveat to this ‘every day awesome’ mindset is that the focus needs to be on personal growth and evolution not becoming a better wife, mother, sister, daughter, leader, employee, etc. Those roles imply we are performing and living FOR someone else. The focus for this approach is becoming a better you for you, not for anyone else.
I’m excited about 2017 and my every day awesome method. What do you think? Share your thoughts about this ‘Every Day Awesome’ mindset.
